Sherie's pastel paintings express an intitiutive, gestural approach to the figure. She studied pastel and oil under Bob Gerbracht, Daniel Greene, Albert Handel, Mark Gray, and Michael Linstrom concentrating on portrait and figure representation.

Named and awarded "Artist of the Year," 1990 from the Los Gatos Art Association, and received the 1st place award of the month from SWA in 1984. Her work has been exhibited in Los Gatos at the Los Gatos Museum, Toll House Hotel, Meadows Retirement Residence, Terraces Retirement Residence, First United Methodist Fellowship Church, and the Red Rock Cafe in Sunnyvale and Portola Valley Art Gallery.

She teaches portrait and landscape classes at the Mt. View Senior Center through Adult Education, and Figurative Representation at the Palo Alto Cultural Center.
