Luis Bravo's FOREVER TANGO - played at the Vogue Theatre, Vancouver, thru May 14th.
It's been three years since the provocative Forever Tango's hot and fiery flame set blood
boiling at the Vogue Theatre. The passion that is Tango is as dramatic as ever. It
smoulders, enthrals and continues to arouse. Forever Tango is a feast for the senses.
The performers are nothing less than 'Tango gods'. Each couple dances with such defined
ease and grace as they seduce a captivated audience with each intricate move.
Each number has it's own character that's highlighted by an 11 piece orchestra. The musicians are stars in their own right. They play our favourite tangos as the dancers lovingly entwine and caress during the intimate slow movements and dazzle while executing boleos and ganchos with lightening speed. Impresario Luis Bravo created, directed and designed the lighting for "Forever Tango". The show has toured the USA, Canada, Latin America, Europe and recently Japan and Korea. Each number is choreographed individually by the dancers. Carlos Morel, who has been with the show since it's premiered in San Diego, in 1990, sings songs of anguish with great style and charm. Renowned composer, conductor and arranger, Lisandro Androver, is the resident Musical Director. The stylish musicians are incomparable especially during "Bandoneon", a dialogue between four bandeoneons. The emotionally charged "Jealousy" and "El Musico Angel" are very effective. Don't miss it the next time it's in your city! Alexandra...ISM
