Marcelo Puig is one of the most talented, in-demand, and popular
Tango performers in the San Francisco Bay Area. He was born and raised in Buenos Aires,
Argentina, and began his classical guitar studies at age ten. His musical background has
a wide range including: Latin folkloric, Brazilian, Rock, Blues, Jazz and Argentine Tango.
Marcelo also sings and teaches guitar. In the Bay Area, Marcelo performs on a non-stop basis with many Tango
musicians, dancers, and choreographers. He performs in many of the Bay Area most popular Tango dance
venues, theaters, cafes,and restaurants, including vineyards and wineries in Sonoma and Napa.
Seth Asarnow, the Bandoneonist in the duo, is from the Bay Area.
His Tango repertory is vast and he has recorded a wide range of music from Tango to
rock. Along with composing and playing music for film scores, he plays on a regular basis
for Tango dancers from around the world. In addition, he has been featured as a soloist
with the San Francisco Symphony and played Piazzolla's Four Seasons with the San Franciso
Opera Orchestra. Seth is the musical director and bandonenist for the Tango Adamor show and
he directs and plays bandoneon for his Tango group Sexteto Tiprco.
