The Band began with guitarist Emiliano Obregón who set up
what is now Lörihen in 1996. Drummer Hernán Rios and other musicians joined to complete
the first line up in 1997. The group has changed members, but both the drummer and the
guitarist remained. Lucas Gerardo (vocals), Nicolás Ciancio (bass) and Julián Barrett
(guitar) make up its' present form.
Lörihen has been a headliner in several local festivals. It has shared the stage with
international bands such as Exodus, Stratovarius, Vision Divine, Labyrinth, Hammerfall
(including a show in Uruguay), Rhapsody, Shaman, and Angra. Its has played in Bolivia
and Uruguay five times.
The band released its third album "Paradigma", then toured the country for two years,
playing over 65 cities between 2003 and 2004. The first concert was in Buenos Aires,
December 20th. It was recorded live which was the first step for their forth album and
first live work: VIVO 2012, released November, 2005, by the Icarus Music label.
The band played on national TV and radio programs such as FM Rock and Pop, Much Music,
Canal de la Musica, Radio Nacional y FM la Tribu. But the Band's Monsters-Of-Rock festival performance in 2005, for 20,000 people with Judas Priest and Whitesnake is one highlight in the band’s history.
