TANGO: Agustina & Claudio

Agustina and Claudio have been dance partners since 1997. They were invited to perform at the « Megaexposicion Tango » organized at the Palais de Glace - Buenos Aires- in September, 1997; and at the « First International Tango Fair » at the Recoleta Cultural Center in Buenos Aires. Their versions of tangos Gallo Ciego, El Flete, and Canaro en Paris, were recorded and aired on the argentine channel « Solo Tango », and they appeared several times on ATC– Argentina Televisora Color-, a widely aired argentine TV channel.

Agustina was trained at "National School of Classical Ballet Maria Ruanova" in Buenos Aires and had a sponsorship at Art and Movement Foundation to study classical dance and corporal expression teaching. Additionally she has classical ballet training with Stela Herman in Buenos Aires and modern dance training with Gloria Ponsa in Buenos Aires. She has also had Argentine Tango training with Gustavo Naveira, Fabian Salas, Pablo Veron, Pocho Pizarro, Mingo Pugliese. She won a prize in Neoclassic Group Choreography in the first Mercosur Dance Festival (Aug 21-26/95). Agustina danced and coreographed at Gloriam Ponsa Studio in Buenos Aires and was a member of the Dance Experimental Center in Buenos Aires where she worked and staged coreographies in Argentine Tango.

Claudio has classical dance training with the La Plata School of Dance and the Colon Theatre of Buenos Aires Art Institute. He has additional classical Dance training with Wasil Tuping, Karemia Moreno, Rodolfo Fontan, Esmeralda Agoglia and modern dance, jazz dance, Spanish dance, and Argentine Tango at the Art Institute (Colon Theatre). Claudio has training in Argentine Tango with Gustavo Naveira, Fabian Salaas, Mingo Pugliese, Juan Carlos Copes, Eduardo Arquimbau, Pocho Pizarro, Marta Anton y Luis Grondona, and Kely y Facundo Posadas. Claudio was a dancer and coreographer at the University of La Plata Ballet and was a dancer of the Argentine Theatre Ballet (direction: Esmeralda Agoglia, worked on Stage with dance stars Maya Lpissetkaya, Vladimir Vassiliev, Julio Bocca, Maximiliano Guerra, Ludmila Semeniaka, Eleonora Cassano, etc). He danced with the National Modern & Classical Ballet (Direction Liliana Belfiore), with the Opera-Tango "Tango Drama", coreographed by Rodolfo Lastra at Margarita Xirgu Theatre, and with the german Tango Argentino dancer and singer Sonia Sejawald at "Malena", Videoclip seen on argentine TV "Solo Tango". agustinayclaudio@hotmail.com
